Looking For Lenny

The long segment on Don Imus seemed unnecessary
There are some good moments & interesting conversations in this documentary, though very little of Lenny performing. I would have enjoyed hearing more from Kitty Bruce, Mort Sahl, Shelley Berman, and the people that knew him. There is an extended segment on Don Imus that seemed unnecessary and will likely be a curiosity to people watching this years from now wondering who he is. Also, to not once mention his wife Honey who played such a crucial role in not only his life, but his observations on sex & relationships, seemed strange.

Looking For Lenny
"Looking For Lenny" is real entertainment - entertainment that makes you think AND laugh! So very much more here than just a series of talking heads;although many of these 'heads' are insightful and articulate.Blended with film clips and Bruce's actual 'bits',the viewer absorbs the pace, sensibilities and era that Lenny lived in.It was an era that Bruce's art ultimately superseded.Lenny Bruce was a 21st century satirist fifty years ago.His laser like insights into the human condition and the politics of public and private speech and conduct produced an illumination that both audiences and performers still bathe in.
